Prof. David Elkins is a renowned scholar in the field of taxation in general, and taxation of real estate in particular. He has served as a visiting professor at the law schools of NYU, Cornell, Tulane and SMU and as a senior visiting research fellow at the Singapore Management University – Tax Academy Centre for Tax Excellence. He spoken at conferences and colloquia in the United States, Latin America, Europe, Israel, China and Singapore. Each summer (unless preventing from doing so by an occasional pandemic), he hosts an International Round Table on Taxation and Tax Policy, in which tax experts from around the world meet to discuss cutting-edge issue in tax law and policy.
Professor Elkins has authored three books in Israel and two in the United States. His articles have been published in leading Israeli and American law reviews. His writings in Israel are frequently cited by the Israeli courts
On a different note entirely, Prof. Elkins was Israel’s national Scrabble® champion from 1987-1991.
Prof. Elkins is dean of the School of Real Estate and a professor in the School of Law.
